rickhyman
There is a new review of these two cameras that you may find interesting. There is a comparison of images between the cameras, comparison of sizes, and a description of moving from a DLSR to an M system. Here is a link to the review.

Greg M
Both excellent picture-takers. My M262 uses the same M240 battery. Very long life. I can take well over 100 images and it still often shows 100% on the battery gauge. From what I've read the new M10 battery is not as long life. Better above ISO 3200 image quality favors the M10. I like my M262 to 3200. Above that is beyond the native range, is a "push" process by the camera and results in some banding I don't particularly like. The thinner body, manual ISO dial, slightly larger viewfinder/higher magnification rangefinder and better above ISO 3200 image quality for me are the main advantages and reasons to eventually want an M10, but if video is important at all (not for me) the M240 is your only option.
