johnsloan
I was just wondering if anyone knows of a freeware program for converting raw files. I have PS 7.0. I shoot with a D1X Nikon. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

jimstrutz
Don't irfanview and xnview both have raw converters?
fotografz
There was a PhotoShop RAW plug-in for PS7 that supported the D1X. I know, because I used it when I shot with a D1X. E-mail Adobe and see if they'll send it to you. It's a no brainer to install and works like a charm.
beauh44
Hi John, You might want to have a look at dcraw. The link is: http://www.cybercom.net/%7Edcoffin/dcraw/ You might get the initial impression that it's for Linux only, but it's also been compiled to run from a commmand line in Windoze as well. I haven't used it myself, but I here good things about it. Here's another link talking about it a bit: http://www.aim-dtp.net/aim/digicam/dcraw/ Good luck!
