"California Dreaming on Winter day"

ARRGGG! It's cold and snowing here in Michigan. The Holidays are

just about over and it's back to the advertising Gulag where I toil in

repetitous, research driven creativity. The only glimmer of hope is a

possible TV commercial shoot in Southern California around Feburary.

Post a sunny picture just for pure escapism ...PLEASE (whimper, snivel)

Well, gotta go shovel the walk and freeze my tush off... then go shoot a

wedding until midnight.
004G9L-10708884.jpg.fb6bdfbb4891c8b95e3497d8ede865a9.jpg

OK, OK . . . no need to whimper. ;-)

Can't get much more "California" than the missions. (Sorry I don't have any bikini-clad beauties from the Southern CA beaches.)

But, if it's any consolation, it's cold and rainy here today - another in our series of storms from the Pacific, what we like to call the Pinapple Express.

``Sunny California'' is a line from the Southern California Chamber of Commerce. Here in the SF area today it's strictly ``greetings from the Gulf of Alaska,'' cold rain, high winds, and maybe even snow on the hills. I think there was a minor tectonic event and we're really in Seattle. Let's hear it for GoreTex! and sump pumps....

I grew up in Detroit, and for the last week the weather in Oakland is almost the same as Detroit with the exception of no snow. I took the week off planning to try out a new canoe, but the consant rain killed that idea. I am sure the sun will shine again someday! Probably when I go back to work.

I like the shot,

Think of the majority of Australia who have been in drought and are now on water restricitions in most areas. In central New South Wales, Australia we are experiencing our worst drought in over 100 years. not good. A little of that rain would go a long way here.
