orsetto Posted January 6, 2021 Share Posted January 6, 2021 Very nice! Congrats! And it came with the model-correct final update to the 80mm f/2.8 standard lens, the "S" version- perfect! The 80-S had the most modern coatings of any of Mamiya's TLR lenses, being it was the most recent update by a large margin. Also tighter quality control, so the taking optics are consistently sharp sample to sample, and it has the latest "Blue Dot" Seiko shutter mechanism. Only minor issue of the 80-S is its reformulated, simplified viewing lens: unlike all the other TLR lens pairs, which use identical glass and barrels for taking and viewing, the 80-S dedicated viewing optics are almost impossible to disassemble for DIY (or professional) cleaning. OTOH, its more hermetically sealed so less likely to attract fungus and dust than older lenses. If the viewing glass is clear now when examined with a bright light, it should remain that way thru years more shooting: enjoy! 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
