parv
Could anybody share their impression of camera bags (not pouches or wraps) actually purchased (in EX or EX+ condition) from KEH?
Rick Helmke
I've bought two smaller ones and have been happy with them. I'm in need of a larger bag and will probably call them to get it.

Rick H.
JDMvW
I've never bought a camera bag used from them, but their over-all return and 'satisfaction' policies are so great that I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything I wanted from them.
Usually their lesser grades, even, are most other people's "like new" grade.
Ed_Ingold
If you can find THE bag at KEH that meets your needs, rest assured that EX means "just unwrapped" quality. I have enough trouble finding the right bag in my growing collection or from a nearly limitless variety, new from vendors.
parv
JDM, I have been a happy customer of KEH when it comes to camera, lenses, & flashes; I am familiar with meaning of its ratings. As I am on a distant US island, so the shipping charges related to exchanges would pile up quick. Therefore I would have to basically put up with whatever I would happen to buy, short of the bag having a defect missed (for the rating) by the KEH staff. Edward, your words may be enough for me to buy one from KEH! I hadn't read about camera bags being bought from KEH. (Then again I did not search on the topic much either.) Looks like I would be the first one to report on the subject. (In case anybody is curious, one zipper-pull of Lowepro S&F Specialist 85 AW lost one track of the zipper; loose threads are cropping around the zipper. I am wanting to replace it with Lowepro Pro Messenger 180 AW or similar ThinkTank Photo Retrospective. Damn! That reminds me the shoulder ache during anime con ... shoulder bag, then ... argh! $@#!) jay_drew
I suspect that your 'UnZippped' bag could be repaired. Lowepro maybe could do it. Otherwise I'd try mountaineering stores like REI, etc. They often have some there who does that type of sewing, either offically through the store or on their own time & charge U directly.
I've done this before years ago. Best wishes, Jay Drew
