b_bob
I'm loving the beta version of CS3 so far, but...<p> ... when using tools like Clone/Stamp, Healing Brush, Dodge, Burn, etc... the cursor is different now from what I'm used to with CS2. It used to be that I could see a little circle that scaled with the size of the brush/tool so that I could see the area that would be affected. Now I just get this other fixed size thing. <p> Any suggestions for changing the cursor to be the little scalable circle again? I'm using the OSX version, btw. denisgermain
That's like all previous versions... "CAPS LOCK" is what turns on/off the precision tool
mendel_leisk
Also, FYI: <ctrl> K <ctrl> 3 will get you to the dialogue to change paint cursor display. The options, (in 7, might be different on later), are: Standard, Precise and Brush Size I prefer Standard most of the time, just can see it better. But it does not show diameter. <ctrl> is on Windows system. It's something else on OSX, I guess, "command key"? (And, that Cap Lock is a royal pain)
tfrancis.
ive got the same problem, and its not because of caps lock or preferences, the brush will only display as the precision crosshair and not the brush size circle, its REALLY annoyng! <p> tyron<br> <a href= http://www.tfrancis.co.uk>tfrancis. photography.</a>

bob_cruz1
With what I've read so far, the cursors are still quite buggy in CS3, it being beta and all, especially if you're using Intel Macs. All of us here using Intel Macs at work are experiencing the same problem. Although G5 Macs don't seem to be affected, their cursor displays just fine. I know this doesn't help, but maybe it could lessen the paranoia that something's wrong with your system.

peter_jones21
I just researched this problem on the Adobe forum. The workaround is to close CS3, go to your applications folder, click once on CS3 icon, then choose "get info" (command-I). Check the box "open with Rosetta", then launch CS3. It works! However, there is a weird thing in that the color of the circle around the crosshair changes depending on where it is located in an image. Strange, but at least the cursor circle is now visible. I hope this is the biggest probem with Intel based Macs and PS CS3. Peter Jones Shot in the Dark Cave Photography
dena_m._hamed
Thank you so much. I have an intel mac and using ps3 beta and "open with rosetta" truly works. Thank you so much, it was bugging the hell out of me!
jez_williams
I've had the same problem on my computer running Windows XP using CS3 and ive found if you simply change the brush preset to something els then it should go back to the normal cursor.... Its a quick fix . hope it dose the job
