david_johnson
Hi
I have recently developed a problem with my Bronica where it skips film frames then later in the roll it double exposes a frame or two - can anyone give any any ideas on this.
Regards
Dave Johnson
steve_lai
David, I think your Bronica was broken. I had used one (ETR) for over fifteen years and still good (except I had serviced the 150mm lens once).
michael_barth
David, does this problem occur with every roll or just intermittently? With only one back? With all your backs? If you shoot a roll completely through does the problem occur (don't switch backs mid roll)? I'd guess it's either a problem with the multiple exposure switch or a problem with the interlock on the advance in either the body or back. Mike B. tim_sheldon
Is this unit an ETRS or an ETRSi. I had similar problem with my ETRSi when using a strobe without the sca adapter and the meter in the Automatic position. Since the camera was trying to control a non slaved unit. This problem went away went i placed the meter in the off or manual position/
mark_harding
Dave,
This sounds like a film back problem to me. I have experienced similiar problems to this and had the film back repaired which remedied the problem. The winding mechanism and film counter was replaced for $US65. No further problems since!
Mark Harding
wes_virtue
My experience I found that when this happens it was related to the filmback On the film back there are sensor pins which fit into the body of the camera. These pins have sheilds that align them for merging with the camera body. One is made of plastic one of metal. They seem to be both vunerable to damage. I have 3 backs and one of each is broken on all but one. I find that careful back attachement (making sure the pins line up with there recepticals) will allow you to continue to use the backs. My backs are quite old so they might have fixed this problem with the newer versions
