david richhart
I just purchased the equipment from the estate of a former wedding photographer. It includes a clean set of Broncolor mono-lights in the case. 2 "Broncolor Impact 21" lights, and 1 "Broncolor Impact 41" light. <p>Can anyone help me find a manual for the lights? Many thanks in advance - Dave
glen_mura
Dave, you've purchased some wonderful lighting gear. Broncolor makes some of the best stuff out there, and the Impact equipment is extremely rugged, reliable and flexible. I have three Impact 41 heads with a variety of accessories that I have been using for years, and they have never failed to deliver. The light quality of the Impacts is spectacular and the output is somewhat under-rated. You will find they out-perform units of like rating, and, with the accessories available, can be tailored to almost any situation. I have used mine for everything from product photography, to brochures, to portrait work, and they always excel. I did not get a manual with mine and I've never seen one, but they are so simple to use, I doubt you would need one. They are pretty much plug-and-play, with only three power settings on them (1/4, 1/ 2, and Full), and a model light on/off switch that is also used for power. The infra-red remote trigger capability works great, and if you are lucky enough to have gotten the IR 'cube' that fits the hot shoe of your camera, you are set to work wirelessly. They will work fine with digital cameras, too. One note, though - I do some commercial work on location, and once in a while, you will get interference from an active alarm system that uses infrared monitoring. It will trigger your flashes if you attempt to use them in the wireless mode. In this case, you can always use the sync cable, and use standard flash activated slaves plugged into your other heads. Also, you may want to purchase a spare modeling bulb and flash tube before you need them, as you will find that most photo stores do not stock them, and you don't want to be caught waiting days for a replacement if you need one for a shoot. Enjoy your new set-up. If you have any other questions I may be able to help you with, feel free to ask.
steve_schoenefeld
Hi, I also bought broncolor impact 41 flashes and I also dont have a manual. So Id like to ask one question: I want to buy a syn cable and/or a IR-cube. Does someone know what kind of sync cable and what kind of IR I need for broncolor impact 41? I own a Canon EOS 350D camera. thanks very much, steve

LouisNargi
Hi I have a Broncolor Impact set 1 41 head and 2 21 heads one of my 21 heads dose not flash. I put in a known working flash tube to test and it still dose not work. Is there someone who will service them? Broncolor dose not. They say they are too old.
