ian p
Hi Radim,
I travelled to Sabah in January; without wanting to sound flippant, there is plenty of jungle in this part of the world so travel to any of the reserved areas would secure access to "jungle".
Depending upon how long you're planning to stay I'd recommend visiting the Kinabulu Park/Poring as there is lowland rainforest, cloud forest and the montane forest (think this is the correct name) all within close proximity. Mount Kinabalu is a very strenuous hike to the top....some excellent shots are to be had if you're lucky and there's no cloud cover when you're at the top....I wasn't.
Some of my stuff is here.
I can't be much help with the medium format film - there's at least one specialist camera shop in KK, but I never ventured in. I would recommend ISO800 film if you're taking shots of wild animals; the orangutan reserve at Sepilok is rather touristy. Feel free to ask some more Q's! Have a look at some of my photo's :) suka is a great place in sabah and boneo eco tours take heed of there impact on the environment.
