Body Cases for 20d

If any of you have seen old cameras, like the Canon f-1 with the

leather body covers then you will know what I mean. If anybody knows

of a body cover similar to these that would fit the 20d, I would

appreciate a link ot a website or something. what I am looking for is

a case/protecting cover for the 20 body (a hole for the lens and major

button groups) and a snap or velcro cover for the back (to protect the

screen when not in use). I like the idea of leather too.

 

I realize this item may not exist, and if it does it will likely be

kind of pricey due to constraints of trying to make a sturdy case with

that many holes in it, but just in case any of you know of something,,

I thought I might ask. If I can't find one, then I plan to try to make

one .. woo hoo.

You can look at a case which is called "Canon EH17-L Case" and is listed for EOS 20D by Cameta Camera on eBay right now. See item number 7534571079. As I recall it's about 60 bucks. I would call Cameta and ask them to confirm it is exactly what you want befor buying, however.

The EH-17L is available from B&H for $56ish. The description says it's for the EOS 20D + 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 EF-S. It looks like it's made of leather or some facsimilie there of. I don't have one, I generally keep a 17-40 f/4L attached to my 20D in a Lowepro backpack (when it's not around my neck).
