richard_driscoll
Just recently I've been trying using a contrast mask for landscapes taken into the light. What I find so great is that not only does the mask lighten the dark foreground which I'd expected but it evenrecovers quite a bit of the blue sky which may have been overexposed. Just thought I'd mention it in case someone hasn't tried this technique before. It's well worth a try.
charlesheckel
In case anyone finds "contrast mask" less than self-explanatory, one tutorial is at:<p> http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/contrast_masking.shtml
richard_driscoll
That's almost exactly what I did.
