Blue Skys and Contrast Masks

Recommended Posts

Just recently I've been trying using a contrast mask for landscapes taken into the light.

What I find so great is that not only does the mask lighten the dark foreground which I'd expected but it even

recovers quite a bit of the blue sky which may have been overexposed.

Just thought I'd mention it in case someone hasn't tried this technique before. It's well worth a try.
