chris76
Hi all, Hope someone can give me a hand on my new site on Blu-domain. I have asked them to go live on 31 Jan as I have a Bridal expo on 15/16 Feb to date nothing has happened and query after query are being handled with one liners ranging from have you not received our mail to the we are very busy. I knew before hand that some guys had problems getting things working but I chanced it and its too late crying over spilt milk. What I would like to ask is if I?m doing something wrong. My current website is hosted in South Africa. When I bought the site I paid for Blu to host the site. I have received a mail with a control dashboard for E-mail etc. but I?m not sure if this should be used to transfer the site to the Blu-servers. From my little understanding a ticket needs to be sent from Blu to my current provider so the hosting can move to the Blu-domain servers. Is there something I need to do on the Control panel? Sorry I?m hoping someone can be more helpful then the Blu team. Regards Chris
schnellimages
Chris, I do not think you are doing anything wrong, based on what you stated. I would go into their service ticket page on their website and put in a 911 support ticket. You can also send an email with 911 in the subject line. That usually wakes them up. Ask them for more complete assistance than you have been getting. I know it is frustrating (been there/done that). I would also say that you will get more bees with honey, than with vinegar - if you know what I mean. Hope that helps. Feel free to contact me if you have more questions. I have been with them for a couple of years now. I know their c/s needs some work, but I think you will be happy with the site once it is up. russ_konrad
Your problems are NOT an isolated case!
Read this:
I Hate Bludomain
schnellimages
Awesome. They do seem to have created quite a few enemies. I can only say that MY experience with them has been pretty good. Hosting with them does seem to make a world of difference. But it is inexcusable for there to be anyone having these levels of trouble with them. keithdunlop
With regards to your question about transferring the host from your South African company to Blu Domain, what you need to do is change the DNS name server information with the registrar of your domain, which may or may not be the same company providing your web hosting. That will redirect your traffic to your new servers with Blu Domain. When I did mine the Blu Domain name servers were "dns2354.dizinc.com" and "dns2355.dizinc.com". If you can get your name servers changed it may speed up going live once Blu Domain sets up your site.
