Black paint on Hasselblad finder

Some of the black paint is coming off the folding part of the

viewfinder of my 500CM. Has anyone tried to paint(or touch up) one

of these? If so, what did you use?

One could think that chips on a camera ,is a badge of honor as a camera of a working photographer...OK ,OK, I use very high quality model airplane paint and using a 4 or 5 zero brush, almost a print spotting brush to put the paint on. I just spot it on with tiny little daubs. If you do it right, you can not see where the chip was.

Thanks Michael. Usually, I don't care about this sort of thing, however, the paint is "flaking" off and falling into the screen and it's annoying, so I was trying to see if I could slow down or stop this. It seems to have almost stopped flaking off, so I'll probably just leave it alone.

i you just want ot stabilize it then put dabs of clear nail polish on the edges of the flaking areas.
