Hi,
I am looking at a flash extender for wildlife and bird photography. I am trying to decide between better beamer advertised on birds as art and the kirk photo flash extender.

I have a canon 550 ex flash and a canon 400 mm f5.6 lens and 1.4 canon extender.

I am wondering which would be a better choice and pros and cons. I have looked a bit at the posts in here and am still confused.

thx in advance and happy new year all.

An alternative to the Better Beamer is the Project-a-Flash (http://www.rue.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=23&products_id=110 ).
I've used both and feel the Project-a-Flash easier to mount and align. I can mount it and be shooting in a tenth the time it takes to get the Better Beamer mounted. The downside is it takes up a lot more room in your bag because it does not fold flat like the Better Beamer does.

As stated before the two products look identical. The BB set up is pretty simple, it takes less than a minute to have it set up or put away. The only thing one may worry is that it may not be as stable in heavy winds as the better beamer lens is attached and held between the two brakets by velcro.
