colin carron
I am a bit puzzled about your question. You already seem to have a decent selection of lenses. which should be fine for many night landscapes. What aspects of night photography are you thinking would require a different lens?
candida_smith
I was looking for a fast wide angle lens, I was looking at the Tokina AT-X Pro FX 16-28mm f2.8? What do you think of that lens?
Mark Keefer
I was getting nice results with a Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L Ver. 1 using a 6D and Tripod up in Vermont last summer. Will have to dig around my old photo files, I may have played with a 50mm f/1.4 and a 17-40mm f/4 also. A fast wide Tokina would be fine. Mark Keefer
Thanks, dc. Had some clear nights up there in the mountains, was able to see the Milky Way. Reminded me of how the sky was when I was a kid being out in the country. Cheers, Mark
paddler4
moon/star/ocean/ night landscape pictures Those are two different beasts. For astrophogtraphy (which I don't do), people often want fast wide-angles. For night landscapes and urban night photography, you don't need that. I do virtually all of mine with three lenses, all Canon: 24-105 f/4, 70-200 f/4, and 17-40 f/4. I use the 17-40 least of the three.
