john_wire
Several alternatives for expired 625's have been discussed for years. What's the best for an old FTb....... other than a real 625 resting somewhere in the past waiting to be found? Regards.
catcher
http://rick_oleson.tripod.com/index-111.html This has worked for me in my FTb, and even an old soligor spot meter. In the FTb I think I had to use some aluminum foil or something to make sure the battery contacted the led. I'm not sure if it changed the voltage much as I only used it for negatives. I don't use the light meter in my FTb anymore, so it's been awhile. I also did a similar thing with my Canonet QL17.
dpowis
C.R.I.S MR-9 adapter. I've got one on my Canon F-1. The exposure is spot-on. A bit expensive, but at least it works well.
peter_white2
C.R.I.S. works perfectly. And it will never wear out.
john_wire
Thanks all for the info. I think I'll go with the C.R.I.S. What do they say.... you get what you pay for..... sometimes. I use alot of Kodachrome and don't want to worry about any meter variations with the new batteries. Regards.
