henricus
I took my new 28mm f2.8 out for a spin and I must say I am very happy. I think I prefer it to my 50mm f1.4. Here are three of my best shots. Nothing earth shattering, just some junk. I had to photograph something! :-) I used my OM2 and Kodak Gold 100. I feel that I tend to over-expose with this camera by a half to almost a full stop. I need to continue to use it and get used to the metering. None of the shots were so over-exposed that they couldn't be fixed in the digital darkroom, but I rather get it right at the scene.

rustys pics
Nice shots from a great lens. I've always liked the OM system and zuiko lenses. In fact, I prefer them to Nikon optics for the most part. As to exposure, The OM-2 was the first camera to have off the film metering, so it can be different from the meter reading if, for example, the light changes between the time you meter and the time you hit the shutter button. I you put it in Manual mode, it does not use OTF and exposures will be what you set them at.
henricus
Russ,
Thanks for the kind words. I haven't read the instructions yet, I didn't know my camera had OTF metering. No wonder the metering was a little different to me. Thanks for the insight.
john_fleetwood
Meters are not all the same, and that could be part of your exposure woes. You could play around with the ASA setting - 100 on the camera might not be 100, whether with the meter or your shooting style, film, development, etc. By the way, I really like my Zuiko 28/3.5. kenny_c.
Thanks for sharing your photos. I used to have Nikon 28mm/2.8 ais lens. I don't like its too loose focusing ring. More importantly, I like the images from my Zuiko 28/2.8 better.
evan petrie www.thoughtp
I own five Zuiko lenses and the 28mm 2.8 is the one that spends the most time on my OM-1n. I get consistently good results and have been very pleased with it. By the way, your photographs look great.
sk_arts
I have been pretty impressed by Zuiko lenses. Maybe i'll go get an Olympus someday. They're pretty cool subjects. As i am sure you know you need to work on your metering. But, so do I :)

lex_jenkins
Approximately: zoo-WEE-koh or zWEE-koh.
