rafal_m
Hello everybody,

I was just wondering if a Bessa R2A or R3A can have a Leica Visoflex mounted on it? Basically, is the distance between the top of the camera on the Bessa the same as the Leica M? So that the prism viewfinder can be mounted without any necessary modification.

I've already got the Visoflex and I'm currently thinking of getting Bessa R2A or R3A (not to worry, I'm not going to berate the forum with "which one should I get" type nonsensical question).

Thank you all for your help.

Rafal
gene_e._mccluney
You are aware, that even if the viso will clear the top, the shutter release arm will not fall over the shutter release button on the Bessa. Thus, taking a photo will be a two-part operation, tripping the mirror, then firing the shutter. I have a viso, and I have a Bessa R2a, so I will try the mounting later this PM when I go to my studio. Then I can advise if the prism will clear the top.
