sara_fredericks
What is the best software or method to batch convert a lot (1500) of Nikon NEFfiles to either JPEGs or TIFFs or even PSDs? Thanks!
barry schmetter
I use Nikon Capture NX, and the quality and image control is great, but I sure wouldn't call it fast. I hope you have more than one computer because running 1500 through NX will take a while.
Ed_Ingold
Use Adobe Bridge or Adobe Lightroom and make basic adjustments to exposure and white balance in ACR without opening the file (just a preview). You can apply the same adjustments to large groups of files. Then use the script, "Image Processor" with Photoshop to convert and save the files as JPEG, TIFF, PSD or all three. It still takes time, but you can do something else (like sleep) while Photoshop crunches.
