dougbrill Posted August 7, 2009 Share Posted August 7, 2009
Lately I have noticed that the back button does not consistently work. Sometimes I have to click it twice to get the page to go back.
I have also noticed that if I use the recent pages drop down in my browser (next to the back and forward buttons) and I select a page, it goes to the page +1 meaning, it goes to the page I viewed after the page I selected from the drop down.
This does not occur with any other sites that I visit.
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Charles_Webster Posted August 7, 2009 Share Posted August 7, 2009
Doesn't work that way for me.

I'm using Firefox 3.0.13 on Vista SP1 and Back and history work as they should for me.

I suggest you check your browser settings, perhaps reboot, perhaps clear your browser cache.

<Chas>
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

dougbrill Posted August 10, 2009 Author Share Posted August 10, 2009
Charles, I am using XP SP3 and IE8. Thanks for the suggestions. I reboot often, clear my cache clear my temp files etc. etc. (I work in IT). This has somthing to do with the code. I'll try firefox and see if I get the same problem.
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
waltchapman Posted August 10, 2009 Share Posted August 10, 2009
I have been having the same problem using the back button inside the galleries pages mostly after drilling down into the portfollio level and looking at other photos by the photographer. I tested the same web pages using Netscape 8.1.3 no problems at all. Using IE 8.0.6 has the problems. Checked the settings inside IE and could not find anything that made a change to fix it. I think the web page developer needs to do some testing for compatability issues with the new IE8 updates. This problem is only on the Photo.net site on my system. I run XP SP3 for the OS if this info helps.
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
