"B" - word

I've read the recent thread on "B"-word a few days ago. Some very nice

examples there. Bokeh, POP, etc...</p

Also, there was a thread regarding why Leicas are so expensive, and

whether we're getting "our money's worth"... :-)</p>

Anyway, I think we're all rather spoiled by our Leitz and/or CV glass.</p>

Just a couple of days ago my brother sent me a few shots he's done

recently with an old Minolta SRT and 50/2 Minolta lens. There were

some nice shots: he's discovering selective focus possibilities. </p>

However, there was one shot that... well... Hm, see for yourself:</p>

The ugliest OOF artifacts I've seen in a while... </p>

I guess seeing such a shot makes us realize better what a "good" bokeh

is... :-) </p>

Oh, I thought for a moment you were writing about Bronicas. Anyway, I

think that's rather a jolly picture with most interesting little circles,

though the color balance is jaundiced. Old Minolta glass roolz OK! Or at

least I hope it does, as I've just bought an example.

although not the silky-smooth-vanishing-towards-infinity kind of bokeh yuo are referring to, I like the out of focus regions a lot in this image. Especially the very sharp edges of the blurs.
