pix-are
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes anyway. I am mystified by the process used to create photos like this (http://www.photo.net/photo/5108540). Can someone help me? I'm shooting with several types of cameras and would rather do this with film and edit the scanned negative in CS2. I shoot with a D70, Mamiya m645, and several 35mm cameras. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Sean

leicaglow
Man, that image is hard to look at for long though.
bueh
Simply put the focus at minimum focus. Depending on focal length, aperture and distance-to-subject the picture will be more or less blurred. The smooth bokeh of medium format (or larger) works especially nice for this. bobatkins
That doesn't look like defocus. It looks like a photoshop blur.
pico
What Bob said. That is pure post-photo image manipulation of the easiest kind. Look above on how to make it so. Anyone can do the effect. It's cheap. Feel free.
bw1664881174
You dont even need PS, Picasso from Google has a 'soft focus' which does the same thing. Its free and easy to use. Took one of your pictures and hey presto!<div></div>
