<p>Mukul - in our maritime climate, there's almost always haze from water vapour, and this day was no exception. The cloud base was only a couple of hundred metres above us. We also get particulate pollution haze, drifting over from Manchester, when the wind is from the east.</p>

<p><em>John:</em> You're in Wales, I see. Air pretty clean when I came there in 1976-77. Can't say the same of Manchester.<br>
