colleendonovan
Hey everybody!! I currently offer my brides the I-Mount Art Leather album (because I upload it to Miller's and it gets here in three days) but I'm looking for more variety than a black album. I love Leather Craftsmen stuff, and I went to Art Leather's website and it looks like they have similar styles. Which one would you recommend? I also have to remember that around here I highly doubt that a bride would want a $1200 or more album. Could happen, but I just don't see it happening very many times. I'm also doing the only bridal show they have in this town in February and since I have never been to one before I really want to go in with a bang! I want really nice albums sitting on my table. The albums look like a lot of work, but I might just be confused on how to order them. You order all your prints from the lab, send them to Leather Craftsmen, and they put it all together? I'm calling the representative on Monday. Maybe she can help me. Anyways, any preferences??
david_schilling___chicago_
I really like the Cache' album with Art Leather....I also appreciate the support I get from my Art Leather rep....
stacy
Colleen- I can't compare the two companies, but I use Leather Craftsmen for all my albums (except I do offer a Cypres album as well). They always come back perfect! And yes- you do the prints and send the prints to them and they put the pages together and bind the the album. The albums I use don't have any slip in mats- etc. The photos are mounted to the page. You can email me if you have questions on a specific album. colleendonovan
Thanks Stacy!! I love the way the albums look. Have you ordered any of the digital ones?
stacy
Ya- we have done the 3500 series (bind only service) in 5x5, 8x8, 8x10, 10x10 and 11x14. It's a really popular album. We also sell a lot of Fine Art albums, and have just started doing 700 series for people who want a matted album. I like all of them!
john at storybook pages
Colleen, check the Art Leather iMount Deluxe. Comes in 11 Chaparral Leather Colors. With or w/o cover cutout..imprinting, also. I have 2 on-order - and have found the iMounts easy to assemble myself. I have also used the Renaissance iMount book (they call it the RTB self-mount album) and assembled it myself. Available in black or burgundy when I bought it. john givens
colleendonovan
Thanks Stacy and John! There's so many choices! I'm leaning towards Leather Craftsmen. I think I'll keep offering the Art leather one too because Miller's does them so fast. Why not?? :)

jgrim8
Art Leather makes all of thier albums in Mexico now. I find the craftmanship isn't as good as it used to be and that's why it takes so long to get them.
colleendonovan
Hmmm. I will look into that company Mary. htnaks for the info. I didn't know all the art leather stuff was being made in Mexico. I've only used them because Miller's puts them together and everything. Thanks!!
