Are Leicaflex SL and SL-2 prisms identical?

I have a SL which has had the shutter go wonky (apparently not an easy or cheap fix) but has a prism in fantastic original condition and a SL-2 which is quite perfect but had suffered from the usual desilvering. The resilver job is ok, but was done in aluminium as I couldn't for the life of me find anyone who would do the original silver and it isn't as bright. If the two prisms are identical in dimensions the (to me) obvious thing to do is to switch them, but before getting my tech to pull them both apart to do the work it would be nice to know if it is feasible.
