Arca Swiss clamp info

  1. If anyone uses an Arca Swiss-style clamp, I can heartily recommend
purchasing a Really Right Stuff plate for the P67. Mine just came
in and it is GREAT! Not only does it have a pin for proper alignment
in the accessory hole in the bottom of the camera, but the plate also
has two "wings" coming up that really hugs the contour of the body.
There is also the safety stop to keep the camera from sliding forward
out of the clamp even if the clamp is not tightened securely. Not
inexpensive, but like tripods and heads, you get what you pay for!

  2. Benson,
How do you like using the P67 with a Ball Head (assuming that is what you do)? I've been thinking about changing to one, but I'm concerned about ease of "fine tuning" adjustment. Currently I use a Bogen 410 geared head; slower than a ball head, but really offers very fine adjustment.

I've heard that the RRS plate for the P67 is nicely designed.

  3. Can someone please tell me where to obtain the Really Right Stuff plate for the P67 - I haven't seen one here in the UK.

These are really nice folks to work with. I've had them ship to me here in Taiwan with no hitches. The only thing is that they don't accept credit cards, so you'll need send a check or money order.

  5. Thanks for the info, Joe. Much appreciated.
