digitaldog
Zero issues on this side. Big Sur has been a much better experience for me than Catalina. But what would the web and such sites be without generalization and complaints about something? :D Author “Color Management for Photographers" & "Photoshop CC Color Management" (pluralsight.com)

digitaldog
Tim's doing pretty well without having to pray to Jobs for much, let alone guidance. Seen their stock lastly? Somebody said something that somebody might interpret as critique on one of the sacred outfits in DD's life! Can't let that pass. digitaldog
As to Apple and Cook, let's see what someone who knows has to say about his performance: Warren Buffett calls Tim Cook a 'fantastic manager' of Apple Warren Buffet has hailed Tim Cook as a "fantastic manager" of Apple, declaring him "one of the best managers in the world," during the annual Berkshire Hathaway shareholders meeting. "Tim Cook was underappreciated for a while. He's one of the best managers in the world. And I've seen a lot of managers. And he's got a product that people absolutely love. And there's an installed base of people, and they get satisfaction rates of 99%." Of course, what does Warren Buffett know the experts here don't? ;) : “There seems to be some perverse human characteristic that likes to make easy things difficult.” -Warren Buffett Author “Color Management for Photographers" & "Photoshop CC Color Management" (pluralsight.com)
ericphelps
Yes their stuff is all I ever use, but they're still a giant company that would poison a small town for a buck. I particularly enjoyed reading a few years ago that Apple had more dosh in the bank than the usa. Why do I say things...
rodeo_joe1
I love that opening picture. It looks like Tim Cook is praying to the spirit of Steve Jobs for guidance. Not sure how liking a picture and putting a humorous interpretation on it is a critique of the person depicted. I have no interest at all in Apple's financial affairs. I just thought the picture looked like someone praying to either the lump of hardware in front of them, as if at an altar, or to some 'higher being'. paddler4
As someone who doesn't use a Mac, I could easily sit back and watch this thread, with no dog in the fight. It's an exercise in non sequiturs. The OP was about a security bug, not about performance issues or the financial health of the company.
digitaldog
That security issue is now moot; all one has to do is update Big Sur to 11.3.1.
