miha_steinb_cher
Does anybody have experience with Schneider Kreuznach Apo Artar HM4/75mm used as a macro lens on bellows? Thank you!
carsten_wolff
Seriously great lens; good even way beyond 1:1. I hope you didn't expect any other answer ;) But even a cheap old Ysaron does the trick there.....
dan_fromm2
Miha, please correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't find any evidence that Schneider ever made an Apo Artar HM. Apo Componon HM, yes; Apo Artar HM, no.
miha_steinb_cher
Gentlemen, Thank you for your answers and sorry for a late reply. I had a chance to buy the Artar in August 2005, but hesitated on lack of info. In the end I bought it out of curiosity (encouraged by a great price). It's a superb performer at least from 1:2 to 2:1, haven't used it outside this range. It shouldn't be stopped to much tough, it looks it's diffraction limited from f/5.6 at 1:1. The lens is currently employed in a pretty unorthodox macro system. The mount conversion is nevertheless a fully reversible one. For additional information and/or pics feel free to email me. dan_fromm2
Ah! Schneider's answer to the Apo-Rodagon D 1:1. Thanks for the info, Miha.
