everheul
I've seen this (occasionally) on a few test shots at 1600 raw images (but not with the embeded jpegs, either large/fine or med/fine) I have not yet used the noise reduction feature yet. What on earth is that strange pattern of discoloration, and why does it only occur on the raw images and not the embedded jpegs? I searched the archives and found nothing of this nature mentioned with the 20d. Thanks

beauh44
Hi Eric, If it's not the most recent, you might try flashing your 20D's firmware. There was an "issue" with banding at high ISO values in the earlier versions. Good luck!
robin_sibson1
Check the reference given by Mike. General view is that it is a conversion issue not a camera issue, and it is the latest versions of EVU/DPP that fix it (see Canon's own upgrade information for these pieces of software). steve_dunn2
This is the famous conversion issue which was corrected a month or two ago. Update your raw conversion software.
