hearst
This was advertised in the latest Pop Photo and their website is enticing for someone like me who has always used natural light outdoors. I'd like to try some indoor macro shots and it looks interesting. Would it be a good choice?
agaudio
I actually bought this a couple of weeks ago and I am very pleased with it. The light is bright and diffused. It's weight is very light and can easily be carried wherever you go w/o going through the hassle of packing huges sets of lights. I am sure a lot of other professionals out there will disagree but for the things I use it for I serves it's purpose and is definately worth the $99. greg_kavorsky
http://www.digitaldingus.com/reviews/lowel/ego/lowelego.php
Haven't seen these images of the Ego before. It's a pretty good review of them, but basic. I emailed the author for any other examples using the Ego. I'll post a follow-up. I have done some jewelry images in the past for clients and I am VERY interested in this for expanding my business.
Greg
