kevin m.
Thanks, Eric! No RAW in my arsenal, yet. Fuji NPH and photoshop, believe it or not. I'd never seen a Vincent before last weekend. G-dd-m, that's an impressive machine!

EricM
ah, the black shadow man, v-twin, 1000cc, didn't stop shaking until you were over 100mph. and heaven forbid you had to stop or go around a corner...aka "The Widow Maker"... great stuff that NPH, my second fave, NPS being first. kevin m.
The guy wouldn't let me ride it, so I didn't get to find out. ;-) It is a stupefyingly beautiful collection of mechanical bits, no matter how it rides. Look at all the bracketry and linkages doing god knows what. As mechanical sculpture, it's awe-inspiring.

neil_swanson
Thought I saw you there, you being a guy with a rangefinder. Me, I was DSLR'd that day. Here's a couple

neil_swanson
Another. It just looked like ti was about to skate right off the track. Ahhh the sliding of hard narrow race tires is a beautiful thing.

kevin m.
Shoulda said 'hi' Neil! :-)
Since you posted a T/A car, I will too.

kevin m.
Didn't that GTO sound fantastic? You gotta admire a collector who puts such a valuable car sideways at speed! ;-)

kevin m.
I like that shot of the GTO, Neil. One of these days, I have to get a telephoto lens. I'd have to jump the fence to get a good racing shot with my 21. ;-)
I grabbed a shot of the same Javelin.

neil_swanson
Nice shots Kevin. The TA cars sound and smell so great. And it was nice to see the Cougars and AMXs out there mixing it up with teh other Pony Cars. Hmmmmm What else have I got. So far I am still sorting. I think I have enough to keep busy this winter

henry_a
Man, that Vincent is fine - I'm swooning! In the first photo of the bike I see proof that its a true British machine - oil spots on the pavement. Where's the drip pan?

neil_swanson
Kevin Very cool that you show up at an Auto Race weekend with a RF and a 21, and film?! No doubt you were in a league of your own and the shots show it. The little 21 does a nice job too. Through a friend who was there shooting for Rolex I got some passes that got me "over the fence" so I got closer to the action. I really do enjoy cruisign the pits just as much though. One more. This car didn't hit the track on Monday though it was running in the pits. I've always been a sucker for the Gulf color scheme

kevin m.
Neil, I'd love to get "over the fence" someday. Must be a rush!
One last one from me. It's the Factory Five crew loading their Daytona Coupe onto the trailer. (I was informed that the kit starts at $14k!)

pico_digoliardi
Lovely photos of my favorite genre of machines, but it makes me feel so old! When did my personal vehicles become vintage? :( -- Pico who still drives a '58 VW Bug.
