bruno_menilli
Does anyone have details of the specifications of this lens, such as length, weight, filter size and closest focus, and how its performance compares to the comparable Leica lenses? Is it well made? as I've heard it does not have a metal body and with that much glass to support I would have thought metal was necessary? bruno_menilli
Sorry - should be Angenieux! Regards Bruno
Rob F.
From its picture, I think it just has a rubber covering, as do some other angenieux lenses. The 45-90mm zoom is like that. I don't think that angenieux would make a rubber or plastic lens barrel!

peter_werner1
I own this lens in a Nikon F mount. I also use it on my Alpas with converters. The pictures are beautiful. The body is carbon fibre (like modern jet fighters or Ferrari racing cars) and thus both very light and solid. I do not know the comparable Leica lenses, but you cannot go wrong with the Angenieux. I prefer it over the comparable Nikkors. Regards Peter www.alpareflex.com
