Android photo apps

Recommended Posts

I've been using the iPod camera for some time and love it. I particularly like the shake it photo app.
I've just picked up an android phone and would like to get a similar kind of app for that, as the shots straight from the phone are not that impressive. Can anyone suggest one?
Thanks
iPod Shake it photo : -
<a title="At home with the Meades by Peter Meade, on Flickr" href=" At home with the Meades src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1384/5137031313_2fc41fbec8.jpg" alt="At home with the Meades" width="500" height="488" />

Android :-
<a title="Cooham High Street by Peter Meade, on Flickr" href=" Cooham High Street src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5044/5251027807_d6b1b83b7f.jpg" alt="Cooham High Street" width="500" height="376" />

These are not alternative cameras in the classic sense, they are pieces of software. Shooting a Holga or some other crappy camera versus a digital approximation is like the difference between actually shooting arrows and playing a video game where you shoot arrows.

I am using a TMobile MyTouch 4G, which has a phenomenal camera sensor. It also has great built-in camera app already with some effects ready to go.
Side by side comparison shows that this camera is better than the iPhone camera, and I have been shooting quite a lot with it. I am also developing an Android application for professional visual creatives called Folilo that will launch next year; which will be a great complement to all the photographers using Androids, too.
