<p>Yep, it's lens performance as is shown in the above link that caused me to buy a NEX 7, specifically so I could shoot my FD glass with a good digital camera. Even though I'd prefer full frame, I chose the NEX because it's a great camera for action shooting. The A7's performance for shooting action shots is rather abysmal. Great for landscapes and portraits, but not much use for anything else.</p>

<p>My NEX is a fairly recent acquisition. Here is a small selection taken with some of my FD lenses on an EOS DSLR with a glass-less adapter (hence, close-ups). First a few with my 400mm f/4.5:<br>
