pok_hon_wally_yu
Recently I have seen a new company (as least for me...) calledAletta Photographics who offers a DIY LF camera for only about $200. While the idea is similar to the one by Jay Bender, I am just curious if anyone here bought it, assemble it, and/or use it. It's really interesting to know they sell the completely assembled version for only $300.
michael_briggs2
A similar question was asked earlier: Is the 4x5 Aletta any good? Perhaps some more people have tried it since then and can comment....
silent1
Be sure to check eBay for this camera; I've seen them on there pretty regularly for $230 for the assembled version or $150 for the kit. If I had that kind of money to spare from more pressing matters (like the mortgage), I'd have gotten myself one for Christmas. Well, maybe this year... azdustdevil
I'm tempted....damn tempted. All my work is done by walking into the wilderness. I need something lightweight. I'm tempted. Wish I knew someone who had one.
