Al - this is for you! From my first Heliar roll...

  1. I'm more into landscape and architecture (and not so much interested in taking pics of myself having an egg-shaped head due to distortion), but Al, I find your work with the Heliar inspiring and your comments very helpful, so I dedicate this to you. I like the way this lens makes you shoot what is right in front of you and what is above your head in a single shot.

  2. I like the photo!

  3. Nice shot, Peter! I have trouble using it for verticals which I find strange since when I was shooting a lot with a 19mm Canon back in the 1960's I mostly used that for verticals. Let's see some more.

  4. Yes, it is a nice shot. Great subject, and effective use of the lens. Al, I too have trouble using this lens for verticals. Framing seems a lot more accurate and distortion easier to handle in the landscape format.
