Tony Rowlett
Several folks have emailed me asking why they cannot post to the forum. This message is just to let you know that you are not being rejected on purpose, although it must look lik it. I am deeply sorry and I know it must be frustrating. There may be some incompatibility somewhere between your computer/platform/browser and whatever mechanism is in place to accept posts here. I am not sure what course to take right now, other than to advise that if you are having problems making posts here (either initial questions, or responses to existing threads), one thing that you can try is to make a post from a different computer to see if that works. Further, if you would like to write to me (<a href="mailto:rowlett@alaska.net">rowlett@alaska.net</a>) with specific details like platform, and browser version, etc., I will in turn report this information to management at photo.net to see if we can resolve the problem.<p> Thank you for your patience, and thanks to everyone for participating here. And, to those who cannot post, thanks for at least lurking! Backups? We don’t need no stinking ba #.’ _ , J
carl smith
The problem has actually been fixed it seems as a response to my earlier thread. However in the future, for a thread like this you should post it in the Help and Feedback Forum.
jeff_stuart
Testing 1 2 1 2. How now brown cow. Is this mic on? Ahem, yeah, I've had on-again-off-again results. Tried all the remedies, seems pretty flaky. Hey, maybe if I email Brian the Photonet evangelist he can post for me?

carl smith
It's been an unusual week. Brian seems to have fixed it though. Just before I e-mailed him too, lucky him.

marklcooper
I've just tried posting 2 very detailed, thought provoking, and flawless (yeah right!) responses to People Photography threads. From the time I logged in to the time to hitting Submit couldn't have been more than 10 minutes. I got the logon screen again, and had lost my post. Does photo.net disconnect people after x# of minutes of 'inactivity'? Thanks, Mark This will probable post OK, didn't spend any time on it! carl smith
nope, they don't. In fact if you let the cookies run, you never have to log in. I do that, but it's my computer so no worries.
