rarmstrong
Today, I received a message on my portfolio from Saad Salem, a fellow photo.net member, who is also a fellow general surgeon in Iraq. He sent a very moving message and has a beautiful collection of images posted in his portfolio. I think that it would be wonderful for him if he received more support from us. He and his family have endured a nightmare that most of us cannot imagine. I am asking you to simply view his page and leave whatever message you feel is appropriate. I think we can play a small role in helping this man, his family and our countries heal and have lasting peace. tholte
Thanks for the heads up Richard! I like his locks, keys and door handle photos and think he could do a really good series on them.
luis_g
Those were my favorites, too. There's a little Atget in there, in the Mosul pictures, hints of history, recent history, too, and a disappearing world. The portraits are good and intimate (let's see more). Forgive me if I am speaking out of line, but I cannot help but get the feeling that photography is a form of refuge for you.
