h._p.
"so sorry, just never learned how to make links work"
Right. You can't link to a file on your hard drive because a browser doesn't know where your hard drive is. You need to upload the file to a host like photo.net and then either give the url of the file ON THE HOST or use some HTML to display it. Here's a picture that's hosted on photo.net...

Take a look at the source for this page (View/Source in IE5) and search for the begiining of this entry. Then follow down to see how I did it. A Google search for 'Writing HTML' will no doubt give you as much extra info as you need. TIP: Remember to post your message as HTML if you do this. pc1
hi mike, thanks for helping me show the pic i was trying to upload. how did you do that?? i'm sorry but i'm just such an ignoramus with all this computer and high tech stuff, the primary reason why i don't have the urge to get to that DSLR bandwagon.(lack of $$ too,of course)and bought a purely manual Rolleicord instead, to go back to basics and probably aquire a bit more knowledge of raw photography (not raw digital),the old school way.. this kinda makes me think a lot too , b4 taking the shot,it slows me down ,sure , but this way is more relaxing ,gives me time to think abt a different perspective, and it's just so rewarding when i get my prints back fr the lab (square 4s) of couse, and see the wonderful detail, color, and contrast that these 40 yr old lens/camera could produce.this makes me smile. oh! b4 i forget a phtg friend is selling his Rolleiflex w/ a 2.8 Planar lens in immaculate condition, CLAd 3 months ago, even the meter is working perfect, no extras tho , just plastic lens covers (caps) everything is in top shape,, and he wants US$1,160. ,wish i could afford it. but if anyone's interested email me at: pcbass@hotmail.com and i'll let him know your address . he could probably send it by FEDEX . he doesn't want to use #bay . pc1
pls forget about the last paragraph of my post. my friend has changed his mind abt selling his Rolleiflex and in fact, he's buying a newer wide Rollei, well so much for that. pc
