Further improvements could make it into a modern day Contax G. I wanted to learn CAD and designing a camera seemed like a pretty good challenge. Along the way I’ve also learned a huge amount about 3D printing, manufacturing, materials science, and I even built a mini foundry to make metal parts for LEX. Well I would assume that whoever try to design it would have to do all the electronic interfacing and that not only focus but aperture control etc.. My experience is that AF is actually decent provided that you understand how it works and understand its limitations.
