dhbebb
I tried to reply to the thread "Removing the battery cover on a Photomic FN" by posting a link to ebay showing where the OP could buy a replacement. This was rejected because "links to items for sale are not allowed on the Nikon forum". Why not? This type of inquiry is very common!
dhbebb
SORRY BUT I DO NEED AN ANSWER TO THIS - MANY OF MY POSTINGS INCLUDE EBAY LINKS AS EXAMPLES OF SOLUTIONS TO OP'S PROBLEMS - I NEED TO KNOW IF THESE LINKS HAVE NOW BEEN BANNED
Michael R Freeman
As far as I can recall, it has always been a policy of the Nikon forum (and probably others) to not allow eBay links. The primary reason for the ban was/is to prevent new users (a.k.a. spammers) from signing up and then flooding the forum with links to their auctions.

You can always reference the eBay item number or seller ID sans link if you want to offer an eBay sourced solution to an OP's problem.
