hyundoo_park
Hi, I'm looking for 8X10 camera these days for my art work,I've used my Ebony RW4X5 camera. Usually, what I'm taking is kind of landscape with using wide anglelens like 120-150 for my Ebony's. and what I'm thinking to get thistime is Arca-swiss 8X10 F-classic compact camera which is light-weightand compact to carry like folding flat and another choice is Ebony'snonfolding SW8X10 camera again, I'm so satisfied by Ebony's rigid andaccurate movement but I'd love to arca swiss lines. but I knew that F-line compcat doesn't support tilt of back, I don'tif I'm wrong but do I have to use the tilt of back to correct the vertical line?do you have any other opinion about the other 8X10 camera for mypurpose? Thanks, and another question is for the lens which I've seen from the linhofcamera which is called Prontor professional shutter. I think I can arrange the apperture and shttuer speed from behind the camera. do youknow about this? or where I can get tht information? Thanks again, Have a great days, Hyundoo,
michael_briggs2
The simple rule to avoid converging verticals is to keep the back plumb (perpendicular to the ground). You don't need back tilt to do this. My camera has back tilt and I rarely use it -- for me, the most common setup is a level camera with plumb back and usage of front rise and possible front tilt. Most setups can be done several ways, so if you have been using back tilt, think about how you could position the back and lens in the same way with a different combination of camera tilt and front and back movements. The Prontor shutter was discontinued years ago.
