john_kasaian1
Late last night I loaded what was left of my last box of Arista Pro 125 film into some 8x10 film holders, then went exploring in the freezer to see what other film might be hiding there(this is the very same freezer that harbored the infamous pinhole frozenturkeycam!) I rediscovered some TMAX 400 I had purchased a few years ago and forgotten about. "Cool" I thought, I'll use the TMAX for night photography and take advantage of it's generous reciprocity characteristics. My question is, does anyone else here shoot TMAX 400 and aside from TMAX RS, what developer(s) do you suggest (the local camera shop no longer stocks RS)? clayh
It is a great film souped in D-76 1:1 or pyrocat HD. I use it for alt-process stuff because it has a very low base+fog, and responds to a wide range of N- to N+ development times. If it were available in the ULF sizes, it would be the only film I would use because of its wonderful reciprocity characteristics. Clay
