chris_naples
Nikons wide angle and telephoto lenses, anyone who has used these, whats your opinion? Also does anyone have pictures posted that used these lenses, Im considering a purchase. Secondly, I would like to buy some filters. Can I use any with the 5700? Any recommendations? ThanksChris
tomas_rofkahr
Hi Chris, I used both the Nikon brand teleconverter and wide-angle on my 5700 when I owned it. In honesty though - I don't recommend either of them. The wide-angle is the most useful of the two but is heavier than the camera is and doesn't offer all that much more perceived coverage vs the camera alone. The tc isn't bad - but again - isn't all that much when compared to the natural reach of the system built in lense. Unsure about filters - sorry. The one recommendation that I *would* make is to take the money you save on lenses and invest it in the Portrait Battery Grip that they make for the 5700. This makes it easier to handle and lets you use NIHM, NICAD, or Alky' AA's. You can find them for around 120.00 (spendy but worth it if you plan on spending any time at all away from an AC outlet for your charger.)
