ron_goodenow
I'm wondering about the use of the auto-focus assistant lamp in lowlight situations and what others do. I find that when using it thereis often too much of a shutter lag and I miss exactly what I wasshooting at -- a facial expression, for example. On the other hand, when I turn it off I get much faster response and, frankly, shots thatseem to be quite in focus. I can see using it on fixed objects inhighly critical situations (eg. photographing interiors, etc.) butwhen there are people in the picture....I also find that the lamp'spresence encourages some people to look away. Ideas welcome based on practical experience. Thanks.
Sanford
I don't use it with my 5060, and, until I read this, I forget it even had it! I have taken photos in very low light without it so I assume it is not needed that much. Those assist lights are way too distracting to bother with, esepcially the white light types.
