500mm f/5.6 fot Mamiya 645

I have a chance to buy a 500mm f5.6 "N" lens for Mamiya 645 at a

very attractive price. I would welcome the opinions of anyone out

there who has used this lens. Is it sharp? Prone to flare? Prone to distortion? Etc. Etc. Please stick to optical performance - I know it's a big sucker, and that there are some handling concerns with physically big lenses.

I have used the lens 500mm/5.6 to Mamiya 645 for ten years. It's rather big and heavy but I overlook with that because the optical performance is so high. The resolution, contrast and sharpness are to

be compared with i.e. the normal lenses.
