ni_gentry
Would appreciate any suggestions for nice presentation boxes to use for delivering 4x6" prints to clients. Number of prints range from 100 to 500.
Also, do you wrap the prints or anything like that or just drop them in the box?
devoted
Have had these recommended to me by a friend. I haven't tried them yet, so I can't vouch for the quality, but she uses them for her clients. As far as presentation in the box I'm not sure. I'll probably not just drop them in the box, though. joann
I use these and they fit 250 4 x 6's perfectly. I just put the prints into the box without anything else. With a ribbon tied around the closed box, it's a very nice presentation. http://www.archivalmethods.com/Product.cfm?categoryid=1&Productid=
john_lagomaggiore
Renaissance makes a proof box that holds over 400 prints. It's called "RTB". I have bought a couple but have yet to use them. I purchase them from Michel Co.: www.michelcompany.com They are high quality, look nice & aren't expensive.
sean_r2
The mentor I worked with didn't do much fancy with the photos, as he just set them in the box. However, he made the box itself look like a present. A nice photo box that fit the 4x6s snugly, and then wrapped it with an elastic gold bow. jairy hunter
I second Archival Methods' boxes. They come with a clear holder you can affix to the box cover for a featured photo. The ribbon is a good idea as well. Very elegant boxes and inexpensive too.
jordan_prussky
after spending between 1k-3k on a wedding, might be nice to deliver the proofs in an album and not a box. Just my 2 cents worth.
joann
Hi, what's great about my recommended proof box is the ease of sorting the proofs for selecting prints & enlargements - flipping the photos over gives shows the reorder number easily too. It's also great to have loose photos to line up and compare. It's a very nice presentation to the bride in an archival storage box.
ni_gentry
Cool. I saw the archival methods boxes. Maybe I'll order a couple to check out. I was a little concerned that they are not archival though.
michelle a.
I also use the 4x6 proof boxes from Archival Methods..... but would like to try something else. I'll be looking into to the ones mentioned from Renaissance. I've gone back and forth with myself on proof album vs proof boxes finally decided on the boxes. My thought on this is that it's nice to be able to take the pictures out, spread them around, rearrange. The file # is printed on the back by the lab so that's a non-issue. And since I let my clients keep their 4x6 proofs, I also suspect that most of my clients like being able to take the 4x6 and put them into their own albums and scrap books.... brian_french
www.wildcatwholesale.com is the best I've found. There colored presentation boxes are great. Plus the tissue they sell matches the boxes.
