radu_diaconu
Hi, For those of you who use the Paterson tank to develop 4x5 film (either the Tacomethod or the reels wiht a spacer) - do you use continuous agitation or do youdo like it was a rollfilm? Just curious because I'm about to develop my first negs. Thanks. Radu D.
paulh
When I do the taco method, I develop it just as I would a roll of 120 film.
jay_de_fehr
Radu, if you'll be using intermittent agitation, be sure you have enough solution to completely cover your film between agitation cycles. If, on the other hand, you use continuous agitation, you need only use the minimum volume required by your developer. Good luck. Jay
radu_diaconu
Hi, Which method would you recommend? What were your best results with? Does 4x5 film require more agitation because of the surface area? Or it is it just like rollfilm? Thanks again.
jay_de_fehr
Radu, I've had good results by both methods, but have switched to Jobo expert drums for rotary development, and Jobo 2509 reels/2500 tanks for reduced agitation development. The drums and reels came with my ATL-2 Plus processor, and work really well. Good luck. Jay
