gary_meader
My Epson 3800 is having a problem feeding from the sheet feeder. I've searched pnet, but all the references are to the rear feeding problems. I'm using 210 gm matte paper, and I want to load about 15-20 sheets. And after 1-2 sheets, the rest won't drop down to the rollers. It's not curled and the push mechanism looks like it's working OK, the sheets just don't drop to get to the rollers. So every print, I need to screw with it to get it to load. But I really need to have it feed automatically. Anyone had this problem? Something in the menu to look at? Thanks
keith_b1
My experience(I had a 2400, now a 3800): The auto sheet feeder will not reliably work if the paper is too thick. Also, once, in a help line call to Epson, they told me that I "may have damaged the sheet feeder on my 2400" by feeding it sheets of paper thicker than the Epson Ultra Pr. Presentation Matte paper, about 10 mils thick.
howard_m
ditto. I've gotten resigned to using the auto sheet feeder (w/ multiple sheets) w/ thinner 'RC' type papers for the most part. Otherwise, headstrikes & grief :(
