  7. Not wishing to see the 21st go to zero, here is one from my "rediscovered" cache. Taken 1981at one of San Jose, Calif's many auto establishments. 2k21-Faber-010 ces13 bm.jpg Used a K1000 & 50mm lens. Some unknow color negative film and a v800, with lots of PP work, for the scan. Yes, that is a well known species of urban bird, and it's also well known calling cards, upon the hat.

  10. For the 24th (previously posted). This one from a Kodak Instamatic 124 with Verichrome Pan. I remember having to snap the cartridge open to retrieve the film for developing.

My sister (around 1972) sitting on my parents' 1969 Impala and her friend sitting on a Torino. I remember the Impala's power brakes were touchy compared the Buick I drove in Driver's Ed. I would put my left foot under the brake to make it more difficult to press until I got used to it.

That 1969 Impala is Chevrolet at their best. (and in your case, a family matter then). Beautiful car, beautiful photo of Southern living. In that era, my parents had a 1970 Pontiac Catalina wagon (a very special order car, had a 455 Super Duty, triple 4 barrel carb, 400 turbo automatic, AC and looked outwardly like a boring family wagon). It was quite fast, enough to keep up with any muscle car. Mike, I enjoy your photos and commentary on Southern life so much, and your family's experiences.

  19. No takers for the 2nd, I see. Here's one from around 1977 or 1978 to fill in.
    upload_2021-10-3_7-44-9.jpeg
Bored (waiting for Botany Lab to start) Konica Auto S2 (most likely Tri-X)
During my undergraduate days I took a camera with me every day. Mostly the Konica Auto S2, but in spring of 1978 I bought a Minolta SRT 201 with 50mm f 1.7 MC Rokkor. Sometimes I carried a Bell & Howell/Canon Dial 35 as well.

  20. Looks like the 3rd is slipping away.
